St. Mary's & Affiliates Credit Union offers two different checking accounts - Convenience Checking and Plus Checking. Your first box of checks are free, then just use the reorder slip inside that box of checks to reorder online or bring your reorder slip into the Credit Union and we will be happy to order them for you.

Transactions can be handled via ATM, Home Banking, Direct Deposit, mail, or in person. Debit Card access is available with either account. If you have questions about your account or problems balancing your monthly statement, let us help. The first reconcilement is free.

Plus Checking

• Earn dividends on daily balances of $100 or more
• Dividends are calculated on the daily balance and compounded and paid monthly
• Only $5 monthly service charge for balances that fall below $100
• Maintain $300 in your regular savings account, advantage account or a share certificate and then you don’t need to maintain a minimum balance in your checking account
• No per check charges.

Advantage Checking

• Receive a 1/4% discount on loans, and receive a 1/4% bonus on new certificates.
• Open one of the checking accounts list above and have direct deposit and at least four of the following credit union services:
  • Debit/ATM Card
  • Home Banking
  • E-Statements
  • E-Bill Pay
  • Advantage Savings Account
  • IRA Account
  • Share Certificate
  • Christmas Club Account
  • Any type of loan

The Echo Club

The Echo Club account allows students and parents to participate in as many (or as few) of the accounts and services as they like. It's a great stepping stone for success for students getting ready to take those next steps.

*a parent/legal guardian agrees to be held liable on a checking account and is the primary holder on a MasterCard with a teen listed as a signer. At age 18, by request, these products will become the teen's sole responsibility.
